They've outscored opponents 9-2 in the past two games. Close enough, haha.

This team is a special one , Ive watched this franchise for the last 20 years and if we can get a healthy Zajac even if its to add more depth on the 4th line , look out you got a bunch of young guys that want to win , not to mention we all know Kovalchuk , Parise and Brodeur might want it more than any other trio in the leauge thats dangerous , I like that even when we do lose games its close and had it not been for a lucky bounce or two it could have gone our way . There is room for improvment like I said Zajac coming back is huge , and if Tallinder can get back that would be great but I think our D is pretty set even if he doesnt return this season .

I would like to see Zajac injected onto the second line at the expense of Sykora. I know, people will talk about the chemistry between patty and sykie, but we cannot have our best center on the 4th line, and there is no way we should move Henrique. Sykora's lack of speed and endurance will be too much of a liability in the post season. Shift patty to the wing, and let Travis center 26 and 8.

With JJ playing like he is, I don't think we could demote him to the fourth line.

No, we would be nuts to touch the 1st or 3rd line. That Poni, Clarky, JJ line can become something special. We obviously leave 17-14-9. We cant have Travis centering Boulton and Cam/Carter.

In my opinion the only one in the top 9 that is expendable is 15. His lack of speed and physicality is only acceptable cause we've been winning. He hasn't been good outside of the occasional big shot.

Well what we shouldn't do is put Zajac in for Henrique. no. If we do anything involving taking Henrique out of that line, its because we're splitting up Parise and Kovy- which i'm still not opposed to...

JJ has been great! proud of the kid. he took on the responsbility of 3rd line C and has excelled tremendously. I wasn't sure if we'd see this development until next year.
With that said, either put Sykora on the 4th line or run Elias-Zajac-Sykora... Poni-Zubrus-Clarkson

I don't think its bad to put Josefson with Carter and Bernier. Carter-Josefson hooked up for that nice goal the other night, they can do that on the 4th line 8-10mins a night.

Elias-Zajac-Zubrus is a great line too. It has more speed and strength than Sykora-Elias-Zubrus

it'll be fun and interesting to see how DeBoer handles this.

I just hope he's at least 85% by playoff time and can get his faceoff skills back to where they were last year.

JJ is an up an coming, long term Devil. Sykora was a walk on that has exceeded everyones expectations, but his lack of speed and battle is noticeable. If I have to pick one to set up for success, it has to be JJ. A demotion to line 4 will mean, minimal ice time and even less success. Sykora can fill that role, and we can still use him on key faceoffs, and the power play, to ensure he has a chance to use his shot.

In the past couple of games on the 3rd line Josefson has been defensively responsible while creating offense. He is already better than Sykora. I like the guy but really we need the best right now and he isn't that.

Agree with this, the main thing Sykora has going for him is his shot. Seems to slow down the 2nd line sometimes.

I am hoping for the same. Very little chance he will be 100%, but he can still be valuable.

In the regular season. But playoffs are a different story, just ask the Habs fans about how they owned the Flyers in regular season play only to get smoked in 5 games in the playoffs. The Rangers are not that scary in fact with the way the Flyers have played this month nobody is really that scary to the Flyers right now.

NJ is going to walk all over PHilly in this coming home and home. You can't match the depth, and as usual your goaltending is lacking.
